Seventy percent of York's alumni say the College prepared them as a professional in their chosen field. The Center for Professional Excellence was established in 2009 to build upon that tradition and strengthen York's promise of professional preparation for current students. Guided by an advisory board of human resources and business executives, the Center develops and executes a national poll that defines the characteristics of professionalism, and assists in developing meaningful co-curricular programs that exemplify professional characteristics. Information on how York College is preparing students to be professionals in any career is available at the Center for Professional Excellence website, www.ycp.edu/cpe.
