Entrepreneurship Center admin. receives ATHENA award

Lynda Randall, program specialist at the J.D. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship and a partner in New Level Advisors LLC, received the ATHENA Award for Leadership at the York County Chamber of Commerce’s annual dinner on March 19.

The ATHENA Award is presented to an individual who is recognized for professional excellence, providing valuable service to their community and for actively assisting women in attainment of their professional goals and leadership skills.

Randall’s passion is helping to transform workplace cultures through leadership and teamwork. She is an experienced executive coach and has extensive experience in developing and implementing programs for nonprofit organizations. Randall has facilitated strategic planning teams, search committees, advisory committees, and has helped organizations create productive, high-energy environments. Her workshops include “The Five Dysfunctions of a Team,” “Bullying in the Workplace,” and “Conflict Resolution Skills for Students in College Leadership.”

Randall earned a master’s degree in education and extensive teaching and training experience in positions including adjunct professor at York College, adult trainer at Family Child Resources, and director of adult education at Junior Achievement, where she developed her unique team-building workshop.

As a consultant to the J.D. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship at York College, Randall helped to launch The Women’s Business Center; started the Mentor Network and the Women’s Business Center Organization, which meets monthly to educate women on best practices in business; and helped to develop a Corporate Board Training Institute.
