From "The Office" to "Office Space," we see ethical problems at work in a humorous light. But when we go off to work, we all have to decide if we can uphold our values and work at the same time. If lying is wrong, what about business bluffing in negotiating prices? Can we draw a line between going out for drinks after work and dating a co-worker? We want to do the right thing, but how can we figure out what the ethically and professionally right things are?
“Ethics and Professionalism” will be discussed during the second in a series of professional developmental seminars offered by the Center for Professional Excellence. Dr. Rory Kraft, assistant professor, Department of English and Humanities, and Anthony Campisi ’76, a York College trustee and president and CEO of Glatfelter Insurance Group, will present on the topic at 7 p.m., Nov. 19, in DeMeester Recital Hall.
