Flood of aid to Haiti looks like chaos, but normal

January 14, 2010 Associated Press

Associated Press science writer Seth Borenstein quoted communications professor Lowell Briggs in a story on the relief efforts in Haiti, which went out on the national wire:

The "backbone of any disaster success" is coordination, added Lowell Briggs of York College, who has worked with international emergency services.

Briggs consults and trains government agencies in Emergency Public Information and Joint Information Systems and is a member of the Adjunct Faculty at FEMA’s Emergency Management Institute.  He is completing his 18th year preparing York College communications students for careers in Broadcast News, Public Relations and Crisis Management.
