York College’s Zeta Beta Tau fraternity and Delta Phi Epsilon sorority members got the ball rolling on a new philanthropy project to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network when they unveiled a six-foot round inflatable ball on April 26. The ball was rolled around campus throughout Greek Week (April 26 – May 2), and those wishing to sign it were asked for a donation to the Children’s Miracle Network. President George Waldner and Dean of Student Affairs Joseph Merkle were the first to sign the ball at the April 26 event.
“The goal is to start this as a tradition and hopefully have a different fraternity or sorority sponsor the ball during Greek Week each year,” said Timothy Boldurian, president of Zeta Beta Tau and a senior marketing major from Audubon, N.J. “We want to use ‘Get on the Ball’ as a positive kick-off event for Greek Week.”
Zeta Beta Tau and Delta Phi Epsilon raised $1,500 for the Children’s Miracle Network.
