Amanda Rossman of Franklintown, a graduate student in the York College/WellSpan Heath Nurse Anesthetist Program, wrote the winning manuscript in the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) Student Writing Contest. Her manuscript was titled “The Physiology of the Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptor and its Importance in the Administration of Anesthesia.”
As winner of the national contest, Rossman will be recognized at the AANA’s annual meeting in Boston in August, her paper will be listed as a continuing education offering by the Association, and she will receive a cash award. There are 111 CRNA programs in the United States that enroll some 2,500 students. Rossman’s was the only student chosen for the writing award.
