Oct. 11 Piano Recital by Kenneth Osowski

An Oct. 11 solo piano recital by Kenneth Osowski, assistant professor of music, will open York College’s DeMeester Recital Hall Series, which features performances throughout the academic year by faculty of the College. Osowski will present the music of Bach, Haydn, Rachmaninoff, Theofanidis, and others at 3 p.m. in DeMeester Recital Hall, Wolf Hall. 

Osowski has served on the faculty of York College since 2002, and he was appointed assistant professor and director of piano and music theory studies in 2007.  He previously served on the faculties of the Peabody Conservatory and Johns Hopkins University, and he holds degrees from Peabody; the University of Nevada, Reno; and Yale University.  He has performed at Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage, the Tanglewood Music Center and the Yellow Barn Music Festival.     

All events in the DeMeester Recital Hall Series are open to the public free of charge.
