Join other women business professionals, female entrepreneurs, and small business owners at monthly educational workshops sponsored by the York College Women’s Business Center Organization (WBCO).

The WBCO was established in 2007 as an initiative of the J.D. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship at York College. Its mission is to educate women on best practices in business. Annual membership dues are $125 and include admission and lunch at luncheon workshops that feature topics of particular significance to women in business.

This year’s schedule includes the following events, which begin at 11:30 a.m. in Alumni Hall (West Campus Community Center): Oct. 12 – “Leading by Managing Difficult Situations and Behaviors” by Liz Weber; Nov. 9 – “Everything You Wish You Knew About Technology and Your Web Presence” by Tony Pantano; Dec. 7 – “Generational Differences: Benefit or Barrier” by Josh Stroup; Feb. 1 – York Mayor Kim Bracey’s story on becoming a leader; March 1 – “Sales and Marketing and Creating a Competitive Edge” by Coni Wolf; April 5 – “How Your Style Affects Your Customers: Improving Customer Service” by Skip Brown and Mary Foltz; and May 3 – “Connecting with an Audience of One or One Thousand: Communications Tools” by Dilip Abayakesera.

WBCO members also receive special invitation to additional educational events hosted by York College. Members receive a meeting announcement three to four weeks prior to the next meeting date. (Note: Attendance confirmation for each luncheon workshop date is required.)
