Lynne Breil, president of The Professional Edge and an adjunct faculty member at York College of Pennsylvania, will present “Networking Essentials for Building Business Relationships” at an Oct. 6 workshop offered by the College’s Women’s Business Center Organization (WBCO). The event, which will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the 1770s Room of the Iosue Student Union, is sponsored by Stock and Leader.
The cost to attend the workshop is included in the annual WBCO membership. The fee for nonmembers is $20 payable with advance registration, which is required by Oct. 1. A former Miss America semi-finalist, Breil brings her message of personal polish and politeness to organizations nationwide. For more than 10 years, her audiences have learned and benefited from her programs and personal coaching in the areas of professional etiquette, presentation skills, and business communications.
Breil is the founder of The Professional Edge, Inc., and professor of both Communications and Business Administration at York College. She was one of the first four women in the United States to become certified as a speaker on the topic of Business Etiquette, and she was named to “Pennsylvania’s 50 Best Women in Business” for 2008 by Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell.
Breil is a member of the National Speaker’s Association and has earned the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation, which is conferred only on accomplished professional speakers who have earned it by meeting strict criteria of continuing speaking experience and expertise. Her programs have been featured in The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Chicago Tribune, and numerous other media.
The Women's Business Center Organization was established in 2007 as an initiative of the J.D. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship at York College.
