Women's Business Center to present May 4 workshop

The York College Women’s Business Center Organization (WBCO) will present a luncheon workshop by Gloria Rabinowitz, managing director of the Golden Seeds Philadelphia Forum, a women-friendly angel investor group, at 11:30 a.m., May 4, in Alumni Hall in the West Campus Community Center (Little Run Lodge).

The cost to attend the workshop is included in the annual WBCO membership. The fee for nonmembers is $20 payable with advance registration, which is required by April 27. The event is sponsored by Smith, Mayer & Liddle, a wealth advisory group, and Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, a full-service financial services firm.

During her presentation, “Women Investing in Women,” Rabinowitz will discuss all things relating to money, growth, and helping women success in business. A former executive with DuPont, Rabinowitz is currently director of the Enterprise Management Consulting Practice at The Fox School of Business, Temple University, and the founder the GCM Group LLC, a technology development, strategy, and marketing company.           

Rabinowitz earned an undergraduate degree from Temple University, her MBA in finance from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania, and her master’s in information science from The University of Michigan.

The Women's Business Center Organization was established in 2007 as an initiative of the J.D. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship at York College. Its mission is to educate women on best practices in business.
