Rugby in a prom dress?
York College’s women’s rugby team joined teams from the University of Scranton, Franklin and Marshall College, and Susquehanna University for an April 10 tournament that featured players dressed in prom gowns.
Why the unusual attire? It was all for a good cause. Team members from all four squads collected prom dresses and brought them to the event to be donated to the Cinderella Project (http://cinderellaprojectofpa.webs.com/), a not-for-profit organization located in East Berlin, Pa., whose mission is “to offer an economic alternative for homecoming and prom for families that are facing economic hardships.”
