WVYC earns national awards

York College’s radio station staff returned from the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) national conference in New York City with three prestigious awards. Winners are chosen from the 1000 IBS members in the United States. WVYC’s Sports Department received the "Best Sports Talk Program" award; the Web/IT Department received the "Best Website" award; and the station received the "Platinum Microphone Award" for attaining the highest level of broadcasting excellence among all college and university stations in the country.
