YCP senior art majors exhibit work beginning in April

            YORK, Pa.— Senior art majors at York College of Pennsylvania will display their work in the York College Galleries, Evelyn and Earle Wolf Hall, during annual exhibitions that begin in April.

            Graphic design majors will present their work from April 14 – 22. A reception from 5 – 7 p.m. on April 14 will open the event. Fine art majors will present their work from April 29 – May 7, with an opening reception scheduled for 5 – 7 p.m. on April 29. Both events are open to the public free of charge.             All students who major in art at York College must exhibit during their final semester. Fine art majors present a cohesive body of work in their area of special study exploring a personal theme. Each design major presents a senior design studio project that is conceived, designed and built by the student and reflects his or her areas of interest and expertise. A number of awards are presented at the exhibitions, which launch students into the world of the working artist and the professionally presented exhibition.

            Senior graphic design majors exhibiting works are Eric Clark of Schwenksville; Matthew King of Titusville, N.J.; Gina Maiolatesi of Jarrettsville, Md.; Bridget Miller of Wilmington, Del.; Jacob Rey of Red Lion; Jennifer Spinelli of Fallston, Md.; and Alex Trabal of Landisville.

            Senior fine art majors exhibiting works are Matthew Artz of Thomasville; Tori DeRosa of West Islip, N.Y.; Melody Martin of Dallastown; Cassandra Rinehart of Dover; Stefanie Scannell of Annandale, N.J.; Shauna Threnhauser of Enola; Alicia Wilson of Glen Rock; and Brian Yurek of Greencastle.
