YORK, Pa. – York College business student Sarah Inskip, of East Berlin, was selected as a Pennsylvania Association of Colleges and Employers (PennACE) 2009 JoAnne Day Student of the Year Award winner.

Inskip, who will graduate in May with a bachelor of science degree in business administration, received one of two $500 awards given each year to outstanding interns or co-op students enrolled at member institutions across Pennsylvania.

In a letter written to the selection committee, York College professor David Greisler, PhD, said, “Sarah is highly regarded among faculty throughout York College, being viewed as a future alumna who will thrive vocationally, invest in her community and positively reflect on this institution.”

Inskip’s performance during an administrative internship at Gettysburg Hospital (WellSpan Health) led to an additional internship within WellSpan in the ambulatory services arena, which eventually led to the PennACE award. Most recently, WellSpan hired her in a part-time administrative role that shifted to full-time in January.

Inskip, the daughter of Andrea and Bradley Inskip, is a graduate of Bermudian Springs High School.
