YORK, Pa.—York College students will present one-act plays and improvisational sets written by their peers at 7 p.m., April 21-25, in the Perko Playpen Theatre. The performances are open to the public free of charge. More information is available by calling 717-815-1401.
Six student-authored and student-directed plays will be presented by members of The Players, the student theatre troupe. An improvisational comedy team of nine students will also perform between the productions.
Students of any major may write, direct or perform during this annual event. “These one acts are presented for fun, for the love of theatre,” according to Associate Professor of English and Humanities James McGhee, who coordinates the theatre program. “This is also one of our most well-attended events, and the plays are extraordinarily good this year.”
Jamie Caponera, a junior theatre and mass communications double major from Valhalla, N.Y., will serve as producer for the annual event.
