York College Announces Noncredit Classes For Fall 2009

Digital Photography - York College is offering Digital Photography classes designed for anyone who wants to learn about digital cameras. 

Spanish Language & Culture - York College is offering Spanish classes designed for beginners and covering basic phrases and the culture. 

SAT Preparation - York College is offering SAT preparation classes designed to build upon the students existing knowledge and prepare them for the test. 

ACT Preparation - York College is offering an ACT preparation class designed to build upon the students existing knowledge and prepare them for the test.

Nursing Home Administration - York College is offering classes designed for anyone who works or wants to work in a nursing home. 

Chinese Language & Culture - York College is offering classes in Chinese designed for beginners and covering basic phrases and the culture.

Painting - York College is offering classes designed for anyone who wants to learn the art of painting or to improve skills.

Financial Planning - York College is offering a class designed for anyone who wants to understand the basics of stocks, bonds, annuities, short-term investing and long-term investing.

NEW FOR FALL 2009

How to Write and Publish a Novel - York College is offering classes designed to provide participants with the information needed to arrange their thoughts, reduce them to writing and seek a publisher for their work.  

Battles of WWII: The Story of a Soldier - York College is offering a class based upon the book of the same name. It follows the path of Colonel (Ret.) Edward S. Mehosky as he rose from a Lieutenant to a Colonel during a military career that took him from WWII through Vietnam. 

Self-Defense for Women - York College is offering a three-session class designed to provide the physical and mental preparation to ward off and/or avoid an attacker using a variety of moves, objects and martial art. 

Registered Nurse Continuing Education   - York College is offering a continuing education class covering gerontology, diseases of aging, death and dying.
