YORK, Pa. – Calling all polyglots! (That’s someone who speaks, writes, or reads a number of languages.) York College is hosting a polyglot poetry event at 3:30 p.m., April 8, in the 1770s Room of the Iosue Student Union. The event is open to the public free of charge. More information is available by calling Associate Professor of English and Humanities Mary Boldt at 717-815-6542.
Participants are invited to bring their favorite poem in a language other than English and read it aloud, explaining briefly in English what the poem means and why they chose it. International refreshments will be served.
